Metallurgist is an educational prototype developed as a student project at Champlain college. 

Metallurgist is about making contemporary blacksmithing in a renaissance festival. The player will receive a steady flow of customers who each have a smithing commission. To fulfil each request the player will have to choose from a selection of materials and manage the processes they will use to complete the craft.

The goal is to fulfil customer commissions in a low pressure environment to experience the joy of crafting. Customers will have a request they want made and it is the player's choice in how they go about fulfilling it. 

Aimed for kids in the 1st-3rd grade the primary lesson is simply to show the joy found in smithing.
